Sigma at Mount Hutt. A show on a ski field. That means trucking all the gear up a mountain road, setting up in freezing temperatures, and running a show where the conditions try to beat you. We supplied audio and lighting for the event. The PA had to throw sound across an open alpine space with wind doing its thing. The lighting rig had to handle the cold and still look sharp once the sun dropped. Not a standard venue. Not a standard gig.
Remote location, altitude, cold, wind. Every element was working against us and the crew handled it. Gear performed well in conditions it wasn't designed for. It's the kind of job that tests your planning and your people. Totally different vibe from a city club gig but the same attention to detail.
